How to get the Fortnite Pirate Shop Token

Open treasure chests in Fortnite Battle Royale while the Treasure Hunters mini-season is running. Each chest rolls a small chance of a special reward for the whole party. Most rolls are gizmos such as the Sprite Locator; a Pirate Shop Access token is one of the rare outcomes. There is no quest, vendor, purchase or code that grants it.

The short answer

• Play Battle Royale, not a creative map or Save the World.
• Open ordinary chests. During the mini-season the standard chests are the treasure chests, so you do not need a special chest type.
• Keep opening them. No location, chest tier or play pattern is confirmed to raise the chance.
• If a party member rolls the token, every member of that party receives it too.

What happens when you find one

The chest plays a longer animation with a gold burst, and a banner reading YOU FOUND PIRATE SHOP ACCESS appears. You receive two access items: PIRATE SHOP ACCESS (2026) and PIRATE SHOP ACCESS (2027). They are separate records, so using the 2026 one does not touch the 2027 one.

Why party play is the only confirmed multiplier

A single chest can grant access to the entire party. That does not change the per-chest chance, but it changes how many people benefit from one successful roll. Playing with friends is therefore the only lever the reporting agrees on. It is not a way to increase the probability for a specific player.

What is not confirmed

• The numeric drop chance. Epic has not published one, and community estimates are anecdotal.
• Any pity counter or guaranteed chest after a number of failures.
• Whether a specific named location or chest type has a better rate.
• Whether the token can be earned after the season's end event.

Track the hunt without inventing a rate

The tracker records chests, matches and sessions so you can see your own pace. It deliberately does not convert that history into a drop chance: a personal sample is far too small to estimate a rare event, and treating it as a rate would be misleading.
