Which items can you claim with Pirate Shop Access?

Eligibility depends on how an item is sold, not on how it looks. Here is the inclusion rule, the exclusion list, the Sidekick limit and how bundles interact with a value total.

While Pirate Shop Access is active, items sold for V-Bucks in the Fortnite Item Shop can be claimed for free. The rule is about the sales channel: a V-Bucks cosmetic in the shop is the case the description covers. A cash offer is not, no matter how it is packaged.

Included

  • Outfits, including crossover skins that are in the shop during the window.
  • Back blings, pickaxes, gliders, contrails, wraps and emotes sold for V-Bucks.
  • One eligible Sidekick you do not already own.

Excluded

  • Real-money offers, including V-Bucks packs and cash bundles.
  • Gifting: you cannot send a claimed item to another player.
  • Battle Passes, pass levels and pass rewards.
  • Additional copies of Sidekicks you already own.

Bundles make value totals lie

A bundle and its contents are the same cosmetics. If you claim the One Piece bundle at 4,000 V-Bucks and also record the Luffy set at 1,800, the total is not 5,800. The claim calculator moves the set into a covered list and counts the bundle once.

Claim setNaive totalAfter duplicate removal
Bundle only4,0004,000
Bundle + Luffy set5,8004,000
Luffy set + Going Merry3,0003,000
A claim set with and without duplicate removal

The Sidekick rule is narrower than it looks

The in-game description limits claims to one free Sidekick you do not already own, and outlets summarise that limit slightly differently. If a Sidekick is the reason you want access, treat the limit as one eligible Sidekick rather than a full set.

Check the shop, not the trailer

An item shown in a season trailer is not necessarily in the Item Shop during your window, and an announced arrival date does not tell you when an offer leaves. The only reliable check is the shop itself on the days your access is active.
